letters from the past

Back in the 1950s, a lady called Kathleen Gingell from High Laver in Essex, in England, started researching and documenting her Gingell ancestors.

As part of her research, Kathleen made appeals in various local newspapers, asking people to write to her with details of their Gingell family history, in the hope that it would help trace our family tree.

With the permission of Kathleen's family, we will be publishing some of the letters Kathleen received, so that others can read and enjoy the information contained therein.

At some point, Arthur moved to Glamorgan in Wales. Arthur's grandfather had 11 children including 7 boys, so it would be nice to see if any descendents survive to this day.
